I had to go to the doctor this afternoon and while sitting in the waiting room they had the news playing. I've always heard you can't believe everything you see on the news and what you do hear take it with a grain of salt. I was also told not to watch the news at all while my husband was gone. Anyway, back to watching the news at the doctors office. Apparently there are all kinds of anti-America protests going on around the world today. It just amazes me. What happened? Some of the countries that they named off were Iraq, Pakistan, Denmark, Malaysia, Indonesia, and so many other ones. Maybe I just missed something while I was watching it. Maybe they have a legitimate reason for hating America so much. Everything I've seen though doesn't point to a legitimate reason though. I was just under the impression that we were trying to help most of these countries, but they don't really want our help. Maybe we should just back off. I don't know. We keep sending people over there to help them, but they pretty much (literally) spit in their faces. Why, as a country, do we keep sending our soldiers over there to help people who don't want to be helped and who keep disrespecting them anyway? It just bothers me, all of those anti-America protests. We're not the best country in the world, but damn it we have pretty good intentions most of the time.
This is why I don't watch the news. I get worked up and you never know if they're giving you the whole truth. Eh.
